Militello`s Bakery & Deli in Shelby Township

One of my favorite places for cake. I gained 40 pounds back in the summer of 2015 and I blame the cake (in a good way;). The frosting is the best and their cakes are always moist. I used to stop in once a week for a whole cake, the ladies at the counter would ask me what’s the occasion, told them I just wanted cake. My family started to hate me for bringing home cake twice a week. I would take a bullet for this cake. I plan on stopping by for a mini cake just for me. Haven’t had Militello’s in a few years and because of it I am now at a healthy weight. Keep up the great work.

Amazing bakery with an incredibly friendly staff! Rose, an older Italian woman, is the sweetest! Their desserts are delicious. I definitely recommend their strawberry cheesecake, and most of their small desserts. 10/10!

They always have my sweet weakness of choise available ( Rainbow Cookies) in White and Regular Chocolate. Also picked up some Halloween Cookies for my little guy, In which he said were amazing.

Bought a birthday cake with simple piping decor worth $49. I didn't mind paying that much thinking it would be an awesome cake unfortunately it wasn't the case. For some odd reason the upper layer of the 8” marble cake was really dry and tough to cut through and even more hard to chew. Felt really embarrassed sharing the cake with the celebrants, later on i had no choice but to just throw out the rest of the cake with a broken heart. On a lighter note, the bottom layer did turn out nice and moist. And the staff were really nice. For a first time customer i wish the experience was better.

Very disappointed in the quality and craftmanship of the cake from Militello's. The lt. pink cake is the picture I gave them of the ruffle I wanted on the cake I ordered and the hot pink one is what I got. You tell me if it's anywhere close of the picture and they charged me $20 more for the ruffle. :( will NEVER get a cake done there again.RE: your comment on color of cake - I was not disappointed in the color of the cake because that IS the color I requested my disappointment was in the ruffle I requested. Looks nothing like the cake and I thought that ruffle was a pretty easy thing to do for a cake decorating place. :(

My wife and I got our wedding cake here. Best cake I've ever eaten. I can not recommend this place enough.

I’ve seen posts on Instagram stating this bakery has great cannolis so I stopped in to buy some. I was surprised when I walked in that this bakery was super warm inside. I guess I expected the opposite considering it’s a bakery. The cannolis were really disappointing. (I’ve had a few in my day!) The shell was decent but the filling was so loose and almost watery. Absolutely no flavor. Just a fluke?

Very nice crew. Best donut and coffe cake i had in a long time. Coffee taste as good as my great aunt made. The cream in the donut was so light and creamy its the best .

Helped out tremendously with picking a great wedding cake. Had a lot of good suggestions that we ultimately went with. Everything turned out perfectly.

This is one of the best bakeries around! The muffaletta is perfect!! Love the cannoli's and cream puffs! Very friendly staff!! I believe the owners are Sicilian and it definitely shows in the quality of their cassada cakes!! Amazing!!! Keep up the good work Militellos!!!

Incredible!We had Militello's make our cake for our wedding last weekend and were not disappointed! Though Gasper was going to be on vacation right before our wedding he still promised our cake would be ready and delivered, and it turned out exactly as we wished! We went for the raspberry mousse torte and had no problem sharing the leftovers!! Just delicious and the service was outstanding!! Thank you again Gasper and the Militello crew!

I made my first stop at Militello's this past Saturday 1/19/19. I bought a loaf of the Italian bread and an apple fritter. They were both outstanding!!! My niece and fiance also met with Mr. Miltello to go over their wedding cake plans during this same time. After learning about the different options in terms of cake style, flavors, etc. they easily made their decision. The next time I'm out in this area I'll be sure to make a stop here and take home some high quality, authentic, and delicious baked goods!

Delicious cannolis!!!

Our 3 ur old wanted a Cookie Monster cake for his birthday party. Our guests said they had the best bakery near them at Militello’s and picked up a cake there and drove it with them from MI to our party in Philadelphia! It was fabulous! I didn’t even send on pictures or a description, but they had put every single detail I could have wanted on the cake! Also came with amazing cannolis! Yum!

I love the bakery. My mom likes to take a ride over when she visits me. She loves the canolis Always have good sweet treats! Its a must if you are needing sweets and in that area stop in and check them out. They also serve breakfast and lunch. They are so friendly. They service is great its clean.

Militello's Bakery did an outstanding job on this custom cake for my daughters 50th Birthday. Gasper Militello listened carefully to what I had in mind and added a couple of ideas if his own to create this exiting Rolling Stones design. Did I mention that the cake was also delicious? Militello's buttercream frosting is the best in the area. Great taste, but not greasy or oily that some buttercreams tend to be.

Militello's did a beautiful job on this cake!!! My daughter turned 22 years old a few weeks back and I wanted to get an unique cake. She moved to Arizona two years and thought how cute would a cactus cake be! I got so many complaints on it and the taste was perfect, not sugary at all. I will definitely order from them again.
